SYSCO180 maintains a rigorous empanelment framework and a comprehensive code of conduct to ensure the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and credibility in its institutional arbitration and ADR processes. These standards apply uniformly to all arbitrators, mediators, conciliators, and negotiation facilitators associated with the institution.

Empanelment Criteria

Empanelment at SYSCO180 is merit-based and transparent, guided by clearly defined eligibility requirements. Prospective panel members are evaluated on professional qualifications, legal or domain expertise, and demonstrable experience in dispute resolution or the relevant industry sector. Emphasis is placed on competence, analytical ability, communication skills, and familiarity with institutional and ODR-enabled processes.

Candidates must demonstrate independence, impartiality, and ethical standing. Mandatory disclosures regarding conflicts of interest, prior engagements, or relationships with parties are required at the time of empanelment and on an ongoing basis. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to institutional rules is an essential criterion.

Code of Conduct

All empanelled members are bound by a strict code of conduct that governs professional behaviour and ethical obligations. The code mandates neutrality, fairness, confidentiality, and diligence in the conduct of proceedings. Panel members must avoid any conduct that may give rise to bias, prejudice, or impropriety, whether actual or perceived.

Confidentiality obligations extend to all information obtained during proceedings, including documents, communications, and deliberations. Panel members are required to conduct proceedings efficiently, respect party autonomy, ensure procedural fairness, and deliver reasoned outcomes within prescribed timelines.

Violations of empanelment standards or the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or removal from the panel, in accordance with institutional procedures.

Through its empanelment criteria and code of conduct, SYSCO180 upholds institutional integrity, reinforces stakeholder trust, and ensures that dispute resolution processes are conducted with the highest standards of ethical and professional excellence.
